Arcturus Ventures Inc (“Arcturus”) is pleased to announce that drilling is planned to commence in the coming months on the Lewes River Property in the Whitehorse Copper Belt, Yukon. The 2009 interpretation of Induced Polarization geophysical data utilizing 2D Inversion models identified three anomalous zones that warrant drilling. The drilling will test these anomalous zones that are interpreted to possibly reflect copper and gold- rich skarns typical of mineralization in the Whitehorse Copper Belt.
Arcturus is considering gold-focused property acquisitions in Colombia. To facilitate the work in Colombia, the Company has retained Mr. Alberto E. Martinez who will act as an advisor to the company. Mr. Martinez has over 30 years experience in the resource industry in Latin America including time with Intercor (Exxon), Greenstone Resources and Eldorado Gold Corp. He has B.Sc. Engineering from U. del Norte (Colombia) and an MBA from the University of Dallas. The experience Mr. Martinez has in negotiations, management and acquisition in Colombia and Mexico will be extremely valuable to the
company.
During April 2010, Arcturus management and Mr. Martinez traveled to Colombia to review and evaluate property acquisition opportunities in the Antioquia Department. Arcturus is currently considering a number of short listed projects with the objective to complete a transaction within the next few months.
