Arcturus Ventures Inc. is pleased to report that a team of geologists has been mobilized to the RB and First Base properties in the Finlayson Lake VMS district of the Yukon Territory, Canada. The district hosts significant mineral resources in multiple deposits including Kudz Ze Kayah, Wolverine and Fyre Lake.
The Arcturus claim groups have undergone successful initial exploration including: airborne EM and magnetic surveys, reconnaissance silt and soil geochemical sampling, prospecting and reconnaissance geological mapping. A portion of the First Base claims were covered with grid soil sampling that did not include multi-element ICP analyses. The surveys have identified several prospective horizons that require detailed geological, lithogeochemical and soil geochemical surveys on both properties. It is the intention of the geologists on site to carry out this work.
Blake Macdonald, President of Arcturus Ventures Inc. stated, “The upcoming opening of the Wolverine Mine by Yukon Zinc Corp. demonstrates the potential of the Finlayson Lake VMS district and I am pleased that fieldwork has commenced on our two properties in that region. We strongly believe that both First Base and RB properties have excellent potential to host significant deposits as has been demonstrated by highly anomalous geochemistry, favourable host rocks and sulphide showings on both properties.”
In addition to the work on the RB and First Base properties currently in progress, Arcturus plans to drill the Lewes River property, located in the Whitehorse Copper Belt, later this summer.
All of Arcturus’ work and disclosures on the company’s properties in Yukon are supervised and reviewed by Robert Stroshein, P.Eng, who is a qualified person under the definition of National Instrument 43-101.
