Arcturus Ventures Inc. (TSX-V:AZN, “Arcturus”) is pleased to announce that the Company has signed a contract with Kluane Drilling Ltd for the drilling program at the Lewes River Project set to commence in March. The current level of exploration activity in Yukon has made drill rigs a scarce resource and Arcturus management is pleased to have signed this contract to ensure the Lewes drilling program proceeds as scheduled.
The Lewes River Project drilling program will test 3 different geophysical anomalies in the project area that are highly prospective for copper-gold skarn mineralization consistent with other areas in the Whitehorse Copper Belt. Drilling will commence in mid-March with results likely available before May.
Arcturus is also pleased to announce that the company has acquired by staking a 56 claim (approx. 1130ha) block north of Keele Peak in eastern Yukon. The KE claims (or “Keele Project”) hosts favourable contacts between limestone and less permeable overlying units in conjunction with faulting necessary for Carlin Style Gold mineralization. The Company believes this block is prospective for gold mineralization similar to the Osiris zone of ATAC Resource Ltd’s Rackla Gold Project. Exploration on the Keele Project will begin after the spring thaw.
